Itβs not a giant place, but it is very nice. Itβs free and thatβs certainly a plus as well. No posed photography without a permit which was fine with me! Itβs something to keep in mind though.

Tucked inside the beautiful greenery of Baltimore, Rawlings Conservatory feels like stepping into another world. Built in the 1800s, this historic conservatory is officially the oldest public iron-and-glass framed conservatory still in use in the United States and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. What I loved most is that this experience is completely FREE, although donations are welcome. Parking was also free with nearby street parking, which made the visit even easier for families. I definitely recommend going on a sunny day because the sunlight pouring through the glass ceilings makes the entire conservatory glow beautifully. At first glance, it may seem smaller than expected, but there is actually so much to explore. We spent a few hours here without rushing and easily could have stayed longer just enjoying the atmosphere. My kids loved feeding the koi fish, smelling the orchids, and walking through all the greenery and unique plant collections. The bathrooms were conveniently located right inside the greenhouse area, which was especially helpful with children. Each section feels like entering a completely different climate and environment: * T

Gorgeous place. Went here with a friend and I absolutely loved it. There are multiple rooms based on the climate. It is obviously a little warm so be prepared for that. It is donation base with a five dollar recommended donation by a QR code or in cash. My friend also got engaged here!

It's a cool place to go see some plants. They've got 5 rooms with different climates. And they have a pretty dense assortment of different plants loaded into those spaces. My favorite was the rainforest - mainly because it felt the most out of place in the middle of winter Baltimore. The suggested $5 donation for entry feels fair.
